Accessibility statement
This English version is provided for convenience. The German version of this statement is the authoritative one.
This website is primarily aimed at blind and visually impaired people. Accessibility is therefore not an afterthought, but the standard on which it is built.
Scope and Date
This statement applies to the website parajudogermany.de and all its subpages. It was drawn up on 8 September 2026 and will be updated as changes are made to the website. We issue this statement voluntarily and adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as well as the Accessible Information Technology Regulation (BITV 2.0).
What we have implemented
- A clear heading structure, a skip-to-content link and a drop-down menu, all of which can be operated using the keyboard.
- High contrast in the standard dark theme, plus a light theme and a high-contrast mode.
- Accessibility tool in the bottom right-hand corner: larger font, increased line spacing, highlighted links, and the option to open all collapsible sections at once. The settings are saved in the browser.
- Easy-to-read fonts with no risk of confusion between similar characters, served from our own server.
- Images with text descriptions; image galleries without automatic switching, featuring buttons and voice announcements of the image number.
- No autoplay, no animations that cannot be disabled, no cookies.
Known limitations
- Some image slots display labelled placeholders until the photos are available.
- Linked pages from organisations such as IBSA or the German Judo Federation are outside our control and are not universally accessible.
