Privacy policy
This English version is provided for convenience. The German version of the privacy policy is the legally binding one.
This website provides information about Para judo, the German national team and the Heidelberg national training centre. It has been deliberately designed to minimise data collection and does not use any tracking that requires consent. Below, we provide information on the processing of personal data when you visit this website, as well as your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
The data controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Carmen Bruckmann, national head coach for Para judo, Para Judo National Training Centre at the Rhein-Neckar Olympic Training Centre, Im Neuenheimer Feld 710, 69120 Heidelberg, Germany. Email: bruckmann@dbs-npc.de.
2. Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data processed by us: Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). If you have consented to the processing of your data, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR, takes place.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 of the GDPR). The competent authority for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart.
3. Right to object
Where the processing of your personal data is based on a legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data in question, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
4. Hosting
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. As a data processor, IONOS processes the data necessary for the provision of the website, in particular server log files (see section 5). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of the website (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with IONOS (Article 28 of the GDPR); the data is processed on servers within the European Union.
5. Server log files
Each time this website is accessed, information transmitted by your browser is automatically collected and temporarily stored in server log files: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the previously visited page (referrer), date and time of access, and the amount of data transferred. This processing is technically necessary to display the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. This data is not combined with other data sources.
6. Audience measurement without cookies
For the statistical analysis of website usage, we use the Koko Analytics programme, which runs on our own server. It counts page views and visits per day, as well as referring pages, in aggregated form. No cookies are set, no profiles are created and no data is transferred to third parties; IP addresses are not stored. There is no access to information on your terminal equipment within the meaning of Section 25(1) of the German Telemedia Act (TDDDG). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing the website to meet user needs (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
7. SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar displays ‘https://’. Please note that data transmission over the internet, such as when communicating by email, may be subject to security vulnerabilities; it is not possible to provide complete protection of data against access by third parties.
8. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use cookies. It does not integrate any services that require consent or transmit data to third parties without your consent. A cookie consent banner is therefore not required.
You can use the ‘Accessibility’ button in the bottom right-hand corner to adjust the font size, contrast, line spacing, link highlighting and colour scheme. The settings you actively select are stored exclusively locally on your device (local storage); no data is transferred to third parties. This storage is permitted without consent under Section 25(2)(2) of the TDDDG, as it is necessary for the service you have expressly requested; the legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in an accessible website (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
9. Fonts
The fonts used are delivered locally from our server. No connection is established with font providers’ servers when the website is accessed.
10. Contacting us by email
If you contact us by email, we process the details you provide, such as your name, email address and your message, in order to deal with your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, insofar as your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract; otherwise, it is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). We will delete your data as soon as the enquiry has been fully processed and there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.
11. Links to external websites and social media
We provide links to the websites of the associations and to our Instagram profile. You will only be redirected to the relevant site once you click on such a link; simply visiting our website does not result in any data being transferred to these providers. The respective operator is responsible for data processing following the click.
12. Retention period
Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this Privacy policy, we process personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. The data is then deleted.
13. Validity and amendments to this Privacy policy
This Privacy policy is currently valid. Amendments may be necessary due to further development of the website or changes to legal requirements.
